La Tour.

After the Repa, I unfortunately had previously booked my train for 7.15 on Sunday morning...
This meant about 45 minutes of sleep before I had to rise and shine again and head out to the station.
Between Strasbourg and Paris there was snowfall the whole way, but luckily for me there was none in Paris that day, and the sun was beautiful and shining.
Although when I stepped off the train, I had to race straight to the bathroom and put on a second pair of trousers and all the tops I had in my suitcase because I was so freezing!
I made my way to the Arc de Triomph by the metro and waited in a cafe for Katie and Sal to come and get me.
We then headed off and got lunch in a strange buffet type restaurant, where I experienced a really rude waiter, a gypsy girl getting booted up the behind, and we discussed the sterotype of Parisiens, which unfortunately according to Katie, is really quite accurate.
Despite the blatant rudeness of the citizens, there is a real atmosphere about Paris that one cannot deny.
Katie's apartment is prime location off the Champs, so I was able to drop my suitcase off, meet Stephan, Katie's flatmate and have a cup of tea in their beautiful French home.

Sal, Katie and I headed off for another wander and stopped for a coffee with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.
We messed around a bit with my camera and swapped numerous stories.
It was such a great day, despite being extremely exhausted after the past few days and nights.
Thanks to Katie for her tour, and for being so accomodating :)

Rouge à lèvres.

Saturday was our last day in Strasbourg and the day of the Repa de Noel.
I didn't do much besides pop to Rivetoile to finish Kat's present, pack a bit for coming home, and get ready for the night.
I went over to Kat's first as Cassie had returned for a couple of days :)
We headed down to their friends apartment for some Chartreuse, which turned out to be very interesting.. before heading over to the school for the Repa!

A reception of drinks and snacks was organised by the three BDE campaigning groups, this was followed by live music from student bands, a three-course meal, weird french games and a DJ and dancing.
The night was such perfect way to finish up this term, but it makes me so sad to think that I am already half-way through! It seems like madness to have come so far already.

La Cave.

As we were all making our way from the tram to the Brassieur, Dan suddenly stopped in his tracks as he realised he had left his Kris Kindle present on the tram!
I thought this was hilarious at the time, until a few hours later, when Dan admitted that he had me!
We stayed in the basement of the brassieur for a couple of hours as there were about twenty of us, with really loud live music.
Some of us made our way to a party later on, but I left an hour or earlier later after seeing a dead fish in a fishbowl full of ash. People had just dumped the ash from their cigarettes in there, no wonder the fish was dead. Disgusting behaviour...

Allez.

Just waiting for the others to get ready... we were meant to be there.. precisely 53minutes ago..
Oh well!
A quick goodbye to all the one-term erasmus students and then heading off for some lovely Monaco's in the braaaasieur! We may go out after, to Jimmy's or other bar... we shall see!
Wind is HOWLING like crazy here on the 17th floor!

Can't wait to give my kris kindle her present!!!!!!!!
