Le fond de teint.

So I bought MAC's face and body foundation in the colour C4, slightly more tanned for summer.. but not orange-toned.

This would be my first ever MAC foundation, but to be honest I'm not too convinced on it yet.

The consistency is rather thin, therefore one uses far more product than an ordinary foundation. The pro's to this is that the colour and texture are buildable. Making it a foundation that can work for both day and night.

Unfortunately I have come out in these little bumps all over my face. The recent heat could have caused a heat rash, the suncream I use solely on my face my be a little old, or this foundation might just not suit me.

Is it about to be found out?! I hope not.

Hibou.

A new nail polish and liquid eyeliner, the best of which I have EVER tried. Going to go back and get another one, while I still have Kiko here on my doorstep.

I did the make-up for a couple of french girls before the Gala, which was a big ball a couple of weeks ago, and they got me this cute little scarf to thank me! 

Les Cils.

I picked up this new mascara, that I bought before last year in Spain. It is, in my opinion an exact duplicate of the famous YSL big lashes mascara, but for a fraction of the price. To be found at... of course, Kiko.

Vernis.

Today, Saturday, Susie and Gwen came over and we headed out to Rivetoile on a mission to find some dress Susie needed. I nipped off to the Kiko store and picked up a few bits and pieces. It is such a good value shop! And there was a sale on too so I managed to get the eyeliner, lipliner and lipstick reduced.

I have actually been trying to wear far less make-up recently, because some of the french girls don't wear any, and it's definately a nice change. But I do enjoy playing around with different products. Especially my growing nail polish collection... 

Imprimé léopard.

There was an animal themed soiree last Thursday, so I decided to go all out.

I luckily had a leopard print dress, so then just did my make-up, and painted leopard spots on every other spot of bare skin.

Arc-en-ciel.

I popped into the Kiko store recently, and picked up two things in the sale.
I had originally seen this store in Spain last year when I did a week of the pilgrimmage Santiago di Compostela. It was in Madrid, and I instantly fell in love.
They have stand-alone shops, that are really well presented, and helpful staff.
It would be the equivalent of walking into a MAC store, except for one major difference...
The price.
The products are all gorgegously packaged, they have a huge variety of colours, densities, products for all skin-types. And overall the quality is brilliant.
There are a couple of things where the quality have not match-up to the likes of MAC etc..
But as they are a relatively new company, I think I can give them some time to fully figure out the perfect formulas.
The prices are not ridiculously cheap, but they are very decent for the quality that you recieve.
Anyway I picked up a blush, which is beautifully packaged, as below, and a new highlighter pen for the eyes.
